During the last semester, I was very lucky to have an experience of travelling to hell by Dante’s great work, The Inferno, which is one part of his book the Divine Comedy. To me, Dante’s work reveals the bestiality of humanity and the punishment of those actions that violates the rules of heaven. Here, I would to share some interesting details that worth to be discussed deeply and critically, for it can help us better understand the idea that comes from this great poet who was the representative of Renaissance period and the contributor to the Italian culture. Furthermore, by analyzing the deep meaning of each Canto, we may better answer the questions that puzzled us nowadays.
